SCALEFORUM 1997

Postby dcockling » Mon May 04, 2020 7:18 pm

Here is the next one of the videos which were made of successive Scaleforums during the late 90s and early 2000s while it was still being held in Leatherhead. As before, the filming was arranged by the then organising team of Mike Peascod and Eddie Bourne. The films, which were in VHS format, were made by Tom Loftus of Magic Box Productions and the videos were made available for sale to Society members. Copyright remained with Tom Loftus. Tom has now given his permission for the films to be made available on-line.

Here then is the second one: Scaleforum 1997. Enjoy!

The show guide is in Scalefour News 104

Thanks for posting this. Sadly some of our old friends featured are no longer with us so it is nice to see them 'in action' so to speak. Are any other years available? I'd like to see my old 'Lower Pandy' layout featured as I remember it being filmed - but can't remember which year!

Edit - just found 1996 below - but I'm not on that one either! Must have been '98. Memory fading .................... :( ;)

(Slowly

Another edit - having now watched '96 I have found myself - in a background shot :)

Hi Paul, yes there are more, eight films were made from 1996 to 2003, although the last two are 'unedited', but i'm not sure what this means exactly as I haven't watched those two myself yet. I got a bit Scaleforumed out when I first got them

I'm aiming to upload one each week (give or take a day) to give people a chance to view rather than pushing them all out in one go.

I'll also ask webmaster John to put some links on the website, so that they don't get lost in the forum.

All the Best

Oww, I hope 2001 does surface..... as that was the first Scalefourum I went too. I still recall the lovely walk from the station to Leatherhead. I have a photo some where of the bridge i walked past. :thumb

It's sobering to see Tony Osmond, who sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago, talking about Brockley Hill 21:19.
Make Worcestershire great again.
Build a wall along the Herefordshire border and make them pay for it.
