The premier show for the East Midlands was somewhat smaller this year and in a different venue; Highbank Community Centre, Clifton. Just a short hop from the tramline at Holy Trinity stop and the Park and Ride. No specialist traders sadly, just a few general shops and books. Scalefour were represented by the Nottingham Area Group and despite attending as a punter (support your local show !) I ended up assisting and encouraging children operate the layout (under supervision) and ensuring the layout was clear of members having private meetings in front of the public. The latter is not easy and requires eyes in the back of your head. Lots of familiies there too. This is the future.
