We should be able to take card payment on the reception desks this year but not on the free vintage bus which will be cash only.

In the world of oleopneumatic Citroëns this can amount to pretty much the same thing....

I have been roped in too help Steve with Dewerstone. I had already made the arrangements to visit the show after seeing Rodger Hodgeson at the Bertie hall on Friday night. It needed a some changes to the logistics, fortunately I had not been able to book my train tickets, but had already booked a hotel room for Saturday night.

It's a cracking show, I have been for the last 5 years, ExpoEM , Wells and Scalefourum being the other must do shows. I have even organised my holidays to allow me to get too Scalefourum.

A month to go till RAILEX 2019 This year we are able to take card payments on the front desk but it is cash only on the free vintage bus which departs from Aylesbury railway station car park up to every half hour on Saturday and each hour on Sunday.

You can also book advance tickets via our webpage www.railex.org.uk these will be at the standard on the day price but will be sent out post free.

Of course - like when I used to have to tax my ploughing engine at the Post Office. It is exempt from Vehicle Excise duty, but I still had to go along to pay my £0.00 - for which they gave me a receipt. These days you can do it on line - you are warned to have your credit card ready for the charges. And the receipt still says £0.00.

I’m assuming that it means that you can buy tickets for the show whilst travelling to it on the bus...

But only if you have cash.

Yep the travel on the vintage bus is free, although tickets and programmes can be purchased on the bus for entry to Railex cash only, you can also buy tickets and programmes at the stadium cash or card or advance tickets paypal or card on-line via our web page. hope this is clear.

Is there any update yet on the bus timetable, now that the new rail timetable is out?

We are just getting the bus owners to check the timetable then it will be uploaded, it is not just the new Chiltern timetable we had to check but who was playing in some football related thing that had an effect on the trains too.
