Neither do I - the text is supplied to me. I suggest you ping Terry. If I just change it on the website, we'll miss any other places there might be a need to update it in...

Terry has been in touch, and there is a new description of your demonstration: "Improving and detailing models" on the show page. Thanks for clarifying!

I may have missed this, but is it really necessary to print out the ticket for Scale4 ? I binned my printer years ago. Won't the email receipt do it ?

regards

Mike

Hi Mike,

Ticket, e-mail receipt, QR code, phone or failing that I will have something very old fashioned called a list, besides which, I know that you have purchased a ticket amd I think I can remember what you look like. You could always wear a flower in your hair just in case.

See you in September

All the Best

Since when did Aylesbury become San Francisco?

If you're going to The Scaleforum
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you're going to The Scaleforum
You're gonna meet some model people there

For those who come to The Scaleforum
Autumntime will be a compensated affair
In the aisles of The Scaleforum
Model people with flowers in their hair

All across the nation
Such a strange vibration
Locos in motion
There's CSB generation
With a new explanation
Locos in motion
Locos with motion

For those who come to The Scaleforum
Be sure to wear some flowers in your hair
If you come to The Scaleforum
Autumntime will be an etched kit affair

If you come to The Scaleforum
Autumntime will be a scratch built affair

Since when did Aylesbury become San Francisco?

Since poetry (or are they song lyrics, I have no idea) became part of the hobby too, I suppose.

We wouldn't let him associate with the East of Scotland guys unless he was one, or other, or both. I'm not saying which gained him admission.

Yes, if you want to use it.
It isn't that good - scope to improve the syllable stress patterns.

If you're that short of material, why not just tell everyone that you need more articles for the journal?

Brilliant, Nigel, even so!

The Scott Mackenzie (aka 'Phil' Blondheim III.....) classic was a favourite earworm of mine for ages during summer (and autumn) '67.......

Happy memories!

You may regret that.... I often end up with alternative lyrics to songs whilst doing something else.

I hated that song.

I was sat in a queue waiting for a haircut, and someone kept putting it on the jukebox, over and over again. So I can place where I was when that song was out.

A jukebox in a barbers you ask? Well I wasn't in the UK then!

Sometimes (in fact quite often) the job of an exhibition organiser can be variously annoying, frustrating and occasionally disheartening. It was therefore very encouraging to receive the message below. (edited to protect the innocent :) )

"In fact, I had not planned to be in England again this year, having not long ago returned from seven weeks on the west coast of North America (San Francisco to Anchorage - the Alaska railroad was great). However, given that this will be your last year as Scaleforum organiser I was sorry to think that I would miss it. In addition there will be two layouts that I have long wanted to see, namely the Ouse viaduct and Burntisland, particularly the latter as I have heard so much about it ... . I have also followed the threads on Alpha Mill and Glenmutchkin with a great deal of interest and am looking forward to seeing them as well. In fact, it looks as though this year's event will be the best ever. Of course, it is always a pleasure to catch up with my friends in the Scalefour Society as well."

The writer will be travelling a very long way to get to Scaleforum, about 10,000 miles. Hopefully those who live a lot closer will also feel that Scaleforum this year will be worth attending.

Terry Bendall
