Yes it is although looking at the details of the layouts I think that those who are interested in the diesel and electric era will have difficulty in finding a lot that will be of interest.

Well Dewsbury will be running in it's blue diesel period, The Great Train Robbery features a class 40 and quite a few other layouts are in the 1960s period and will have a few diesels too

Although my layout is considered 'modern' it's still set over a quarter of a century ago. The '60s layouts David mentions are half a century ago. I'm very much in a minority modelling the 1980s and when I do finally start exhibiting I too will be showing something 50 years ago. There's always been a big gap in Modern layouts and discounting all of the TMD layouts there still is I'm afraid.

Having said that, a good model is a good model regardless of what the prototype is.

Just a week to go, we will be running our vintage bus from the Aylesbury railway station car park to Railex every half an hour on the Saturday morning then hourly in the afternoon and Sunday, we will also be selling Railex tickets on the bus to save you buying them at the stadium.

While I was at Expo Viki my other half was preparing the bus for Railex.

Viki will be on board all weekend selling programmes and Railex tickets, the bus will run every half hour on Saturday morning then every hour in the afternoon and Sunday

Always great on the bus, David. And entrance tickets on sale aboard are a very good idea.

But is there a timetable available?

On an hourly service in the afternoon, the timetable does make a difference to how long one can stay if you have long-distance trains to catch, as I have. So a timetable in advance would help.

It is on our website www.railex.org.uk, there is a football match at Wembly so may change to accommodate the stopping trains at Wembly a bit but I would think it would only be a few minutes either way if at all.

Quite the best show I've been to in recent years. The layouts were a pleasure to watch; I spent nearly an hour in front of Bath Green Park. Running all round was exceptional. Trade support was dangerously good for what I model.
