Now on sale from PenBits, sprung bogie kits for the Bachmann Class 66.
These have presented a real problem for 'drop in' rigid EM/P4 conversions, tending to rock about their centre axles. The long overall wheelbase has also led to the bogie frames catching on the underside of the loco over vertical transitions and throwing it off (even in OO on my loosely laid train-set oval), an issue eliminated, in practice, by the more limited movement of the sprung frames.
