Pedant mode on...
This one covers Darlington built locos, some of which were later modified for the Consett Ore traffic. Out of the box, the new loco does not represent a Consett modified locomotive but you can buy, at extra cost, some additional parts that cover some of the modifications that were made to the Consett locomotives.
Pedant mode off...

....apologies John, my bad, I understood it to be aimed at that sub class. It is meant to represent a standard loco pre 1966.

Slightly confusingly, the loco in the photo in the email does have the Consett parts fitted but that's not how it comes out of the box.

....hence, my initial summary but I think that the confusion is sorted now.

Still not quite there I'm afraid
Pre '66 D5107 had both tanks fitted. Also the numbers are still in the wrong place. See http://www.derbysulzers.com/5107blaydon.jpg
Are you sure you didn't mean to say post 1966? (But then I believe during the conversion D5107 gained full yellow ends)

An older thread I know but, as I've just now got round to making a start on my own model of D5107, I can confirm that, at least initially, the loco retained just the lower yellow warning panel after conversion for use on the iron ore trains.

I can't quite decide on whether the loco, at the time the photo was taken, had retained the shiny grille surround or whether it is just a trick of the light...

Re: Latest Sutton Locomotive Works RTR P4 Class 24 variant
I've found another photo that confirms that, after conversion, D5107 was still in the livery as depicted by the SLW model (including the shiny grill surrounds) in early 1967 so that avoids a repaint at least...
