After some time in the electronic wilderness, John Redrup has at last succumbed to pressure and obtained a new email address for London Road Models.

Enquiries regarding kit and other product availability, reservations for collection at shows (especially RSUs), overseas P&P, etc. can be made through lrmenquiries@hotmail.co.uk.

Please don't overwhelm him with emails welcoming him to the 21st century.

Shortly after sending the opening post, JR rang to say his pc had crashed with what appears to be a hdd failure. His IT expert won't be able to fix until the weekend at the earliest.

John therefore asked me to check on Hotmail for any enquiries. Two have arrived, which rather explain JR's reservations about email ommunication.

The first enquiring what motors fit particular kits, but without mentioning what gauge and including one prototype LRM doesn't make. So a rather longer and less specific reply was required than if the writer had been a little more specific.

The second is an email referring back to a casual meeting at a show several years ago and with photos of some overseas HO kits that the writer has now produced.

I wonder what next?

Yes, that was me. As we might know the first Finnish coaches in 1860´s were made in UK (=Railway Plants Co and Brown, Marshall & Co). Some years ago we discussed with Mr.Redrup about these coaches (we had drawings and photos with) in York exhibition, because we did not know if UK made Finnish coaches were some standard types that were used also in UK or not. Someone in the show said that Mr.Redrup might be the specialist with older UK rolling stock and so he did.

After that discussion we knew that UK made Finnish coaches were not any UK standard types — he noticed that in Finnish coaches are found details of many UK railway companies. So we stopped try to find any British made kits for modifications and we made our own kits. We were very happy of our discussion with Mr.Redrup and we promised to send him pictures when we have got our models ready — and today was that day. I am sorry if we have filled his email box with some photos (our idea was only to thank him for his help).
