Two New Books from Peter Tatlow

Postby Mark Tatlow » Sat Jan 07, 2012 12:53 pm

My father is expecting the publication of two books this month.

First is the first volume of Railway Breakdown cranes - http://www.noodlebooks.co.uk/catalogue2/index.html. This will be released at the Southampton Model Railway show on Kevin Robinson's stand (he is Noodle books in case you did not know this). Dad will be there on Saturday if anyone wants a signed copy

The history of breakdown cranes is complicated and the division between volumes one and two is that volume one deals with cranes without relieving bogies. If anybody has the question which one do I need for the D&S crane, it is volume one.

The second is the final part of LNER Wagons - which deals with the stock that the LNER built itself, rather than the pre-group consitituents. Actually, it is the first part of this volume as it has proved too large to go into a single volume.
