Hi All
In David Larkin's BR Parcels and Passenger Rated Stock book theres a picture of an LMS 50ft full brake (or BG) at New street (Not that the author knew this). Its said to be a D1715 variation but what makes it interesting is is doesn't have the diagonal underframe trussing and has an extra box on the underframe. I don't know if this is specific to this diagram or some later modification but does anyone have (or know where I might find) some images of the extra box and of the voltage regulator side?
Cheers
Jim

Re: LMS Diagram 1715 full brake
D1715 were all steel vehicles without a conventional underframe, all built by outside builders, with some minor variations between them. Sorry I can't help otherwise; all the books I have show the same side.

Jim,
My answer will have been the same as Noel's as to the origin of this particular diagram.
I will ask the LMS Society to see if there is any more knowledge of this and in particular the means of mounting the regulator box (and sorry, I had not quite grasped your question on email!)

Thanks both. Mark has supplied a couple of useful images so I can get on with the model. The none battery box side looks very weird and I suspect the model will look horribly unfinished
