While in Penzance last week I was reading the Oakwood Press book on the West Cornwall railway. I was somewhat phased by the description of certain coaches as being made of wood and Papier Mache (This would be ~1850). How and where did you make a prototype coach out of Papier Mache?

Re: Papier mache coaches?
During that time paper mâché was used for prefabricated buildings and there is still some surviving in Abbotsford here in Melbourne. http://www.emelbourne.net.au/biogs/EM01181b.htm For more information. For real chapter and verse description of this period with various material usage I can point you to no better research than by my Old Professor for the history of building construction, Prof Miles Lewis http://www.mileslewis.net/australian-bu ... -paper.pdf
So I am not surprised by the use in coaches.

That was Duroplast. Not quite papier mâché....
That would be an ecumenical matter.
