On my return to the hobby I've decided to tackle something different for me - i.e. an LBSCR horse box and a SECR brake comp from Roxey. I now realise that there doesn't appear to be any commercially available 4mm transfers for lettering, insignia and numerals for these companies circa the turn of the century. I see now how spoilt I've been modelling the MR thanks to the HMRS! Does anyone know if such transfers are available, and if not what typefaces these companies used?
Many thanks.

Re: LBSCR and SECR lettering styles
Probably you have already looked here, but our links page comes up with http://www.lbscr.demon.co.uk/models/4mm.html and there are some transfers listed at the bottom of the page.

For the SECR, have you looked at what FoxTransfers offer? I have used their SECR coach lettering for the 1915-22 period - for the turn of tghe centry the earlier style with plainer lettring would be right and I think they do that.

Thanks Keith and William. I think Fox Transfers will be the firm to contact, the lbscr site mentions Woodham Wagon Works kits, but they appear to be no longer trading.

Dragon Models do transfers for the LBSCR royal crests, in both 4mm and 7mm scale.
They list buffer beam and tank side numbers as well, but these seem to be only avialable in 7mm scale.

Eric Gates is the guy behind Woodham Wagon Works. He is the modelling Steward for the Brighton Circle. He does have stocks of transfers still.

Re: LBSCR and SECR lettering styles
I placed my order with Fox Transfers for some SECR coach transfers yesterday, and they arrived this morning. Excellent service. A real prompt to get the stock finished now!
