Facebook corridor connections

Postby steve howe » Fri Dec 22, 2023 12:15 pm

Just seen this on Facebook from Mark Seward selling Scissor corridor connections:

while we're on, can anyone advise if the Collett coaches as made by Hornby had top-hung or scissor connections?

Steve

The change to suspended gangways was made in late 1925 according to Harris. No idea what diagrams the Hornby corridors are intended to be, but being 57ft bow ended with 7ft bogies they should be after the change.

The link you gave, incidentally, is to a private group, only accessable by members.

Thanks Noel,

The group is definitely worth joining for GWR fans, lots of useful stuff on there.
