Hello All
I have a quick question regarding this bogie. An RMWeb discussion from 2007 has Jim S-W writing that these are "easily compensated". I have just had one delivered and thought I'd ask how one does that, before I start building. I realise "easily" is a relative term!
Thanks in advance

Hi Andrew
It's gloriously low tech but works. (fans of proper solutions look away now)
Simply extend the bearing holes downwards at one end so that axle can rock. You only need about half a mil each side and make sure you don't file any material from the top of the hole.

Hello Jim
Many thanks! That does sound simple! When you say "at one end" do you mean lowering/widening both axle holes for just one of the axles? Also on the RMweb discussion (for pulling a heavy load) you recommend a larger motor and a flywheel. I've ordered neither but am not concerned so much about pulling power, but was wondering if you feel the flywheel is essential for smooth running?
thanks again

Hi Andrew
That's right, I don't know if the flywheel is essential or not but I was advised to go for the bigger motor by Andy Mullins.
One thing to mention is they are really noisy! Branch lines sell a synthetic grease which makes a world of difference.
