Might be worth waiting to see if the Heljan class 11 is any good if you want something a bit different (or convert one from an 08 of course).

I designed my own wire ones soldered to the Hornby or Bachmann ones.
Ordsall Road (BR(E)), Forge Mill Sidings (BR(M)), Kirkcliffe Coking Plant (BR(E)), Swanage (BR (S)) and Heaby (LMS/MR). Acquired Thorneywood (GNR). Still trying to "Keep the Balance".

A bit late to the party, but this is the Hornby EWS 08 to P4 that I did some years ago. Cheap, using a damaged eBay special, and very quick using the AGW rewheel pack.

All done for under fifty quid at the time.
