Ivan, I suppose you could always sell your horse and go see the world . . .

Now if I could get this system to accept attachments I could let you see photos that I have taken of the motor/gearbox.

Ah well - I can probably PM them if anyone is really interested.

I would be Dave but it's probably best to figure out how to attach them here.

Have you tried them?

Hi Jim (and anyone else interested!),

I think this photo may have sneaked into my messasge
tm_w_front.jpg

The two that I have are H0 so I have no facilities for using them in that form. They both turn over silently using a 2Volt battery so I have reasonable confidence that the design is basically sound. I share Russ's (and others') concerns about wiring them up so they don't fight each other but I'm sure there are plenty of smarter folk than me who will advise how to control multiples of these in my Class 502 EMUs. As an indication of Chris's serious intent, he had 10,000 of the motors in stock so I'm sure he will be only too happy when they are flying out of his premises.

Cheers,

Cheers

Away we go, then. P87 Ludmilla is a "go".
That would be an ecumenical matter.

Yes, Jim, a 1mm diameter axle.

Chris also sells inserts to fit 2mm diameter holes in wheels and provide insulation.

I might repeat a plea I've made before that if anyone has a decent drawing of a 3ft diameter DMU/EMU wheel, Chris would like to receive a copy as he has promised to supply P4 wheels, provided he has the information he needs.

Seem to work here, though they are re-directed to Phoenix Micron. The website is incomplete. The website says it is owned by Christopher Howard, same name as Railflyer. Whether he is any nearer to finished products is far from clear.

Is this available Bill?

Got any video of it working in a layout environment? Say a class 25 and 8 coaches?

Cheers

it appears from digging around that railflyer has filed for bankruptcy and set you a new company as phoenix micron, same stuff different name, all the materials having been transferred to that company, unsure how canadian law works so wont comment on losses, but clearly a case of wipe out the debts bygoing bust and restart under a new guise, shadier than a sun shade on a shadey day if you ask me, glad I did not invest in any of his ideas...
