Has anyone on here had any experience in re-wheeling the 'new' Hornby HST locos please?
Many thanks

Re: P4ing the 'new generation' HSTs
Hi
2mm axles and 13mm wheels. Not sure of the source of 13mm wheels though. Perhaps someone can advise?

Hello,
Ultrascale appear to offer something suitable:
Class 43 (HST)
http://www.therailwaycentre.com/New%20L ... 43HST.html
Wheel diameter: 3ft 4in (1.02m)
1002 / 76.2 = 13.15mm
http://www.ultrascale.co.uk/ddw0001.php
Disc diesel wheels
3'3 1/2" Disc diesel 'Warship'
All wheels are 4mm scale and available in the following gauges: 'OO' Fine scale, E.M. and 18.83, unless otherwise stated.
All the above wheels can be supplied with Nickel silver (N.S.) or Brass tyres.
All disc diesel wheels and axles are supplied loose. (i.e. not assembled)
Axle diameter: 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm and 1/8"
If not stated 2.0 mm will be supplied.
Regards, Rodney Hills

And if you are happy with brass wheels, Intercity supply their 'superrollers' in 13 mm diameter.
