availability of Bill Bedford’s universal coupling rods

Postby Michael Waldron » Mon Jun 12, 2023 3:02 pm

Does anyone know, now that the goldmine of Eileen’s Emporium has sadly suffered its enforced demise, who now markets the Bill Bedford Universal Coupling Rods?
I gather Eileen’s did stock them, but as the Gibson one is not simply pivoted from the knuckle, it doesn’t simply make up as pivoting at the correct place.

Yes, I know Will L did explain how to, but as there’s a proper fret produced, I’d like a simple answer!

Have a look at Lanarkshire Models and Supplies: www.lanarkshiremodels.com
Dave does some universal ones which might be of use.

Thanks for the suggestion. Sadly, like a great many other suppliers (e.g.buffers) they’re out of stock!

Mike

If you have a look at the Committee report for May there is some news on the Bill Bedford items.

Thanks Terry. That looks very encouraging.

Surprisingly the Lanarkshire Universal coupling rod looks excellent, with many options, was actually available despite the link suggesting they were out of stock. Going direct to the website i could order one easily!!

Thanks
Mike
