How well would resin react to being pressed on to axles or is another method needed?

Not tried it yet. These resin centres - for the L&Y class 25 - have "keys" to fit Bill's ready-quartered axles, so perhaps pressing isn't as critical here as it would otherwise be

Pressing them into tyres will be interesting, though.... Bill suggested that resin probably wouldn't work well for a BR 9F wheel, for example.
