LRM LNWR 5'6" Tank Chassis

Postby Brian Eves » Sat Apr 01, 2023 10:47 am

To save me from mucking up the chassis etches, can anyone give me guidance to produce a compensated chassis for this LMR kit?
I have thought of using a High Level Models gearbox with his suspension system.
I'm more at home at twisting wires together into rats nests than actual making kits.

I'd like to help Brain but my LNWR 5' 6" tank predates the LRM kit, being an M&L cast w/m body on a set of Gibson milled frames.

I compensated between the leading carrying axle and first coupled axle (with an S curved beam), drive to the rear coupled axle and a pony truck at the rear. The gearbox was one of the Sharman Wheels machined brass affairs, so the whole thing is very much of its time.

If no other replies come forward, contact John at LRM, he designed it.
