A discussion has been taking place on the concept behind my article in the thread "Articulated Beams?". It widens into a discussion on track faults, issues, and contains much very useful explanation of P4 track standards by Andrew Jukes. As well as Back to Back gauge use, compensated vehicle stability triangles and more. It has not seemed worthwhile to open a new topic
partly because of the difficulty of giving it a title and allocating it to a particular forum and I am putting this here in case readers interested in
those subjects might think articulated beams were not of interest.
