lost crankpin nut 08 conversion .ultrascale

Hi all
just dropped crank pin nut from Ultrascale wheel set on my bachmann 08 . i seem to recall someone else doing this.Any help would be appreciated.

Philip Hall was kind enough to send a nut of the relevant size to me but I can't for the life of me remember what size it was...

I would have thought it either a 1mm or a 14BA. Actually you will find that both will probably fit.

14BA nut, not 1mm is used for Ultrascale. It doesn't look right, but at least you can finish the project while waiting for a new one.

Current Ultrascale crankpins use the M1 thread, so you might be waiting a while....
That would be an ecumenical matter.

I thought I had made a comment on this before, maybe I'm imagining things...

I think that it is only relatively recently that Ultrascale started using M1 screws, so if you have an earlier set, that may well be 14BA.
