Society wire

Postby Mike Garwood » Wed Jun 08, 2016 8:20 pm

Gentlemen

Having bought some of the thinnest wire (coated) that I've ever seen, how in the name of all that's engineered do you strip the coating off it, with out just cutting the wire into a million different length pieces?

And if I hear some suggest using their teeth I'll set my dentist on you! :D

Sometimes in the army I stripped Don10 wire with my teeth. Got little mouse hole cut outs in them now. Needs must and all that, didn't have the clippers. :?

What is the wire coated in? Maybe some hungry chemical could eat it.

Mike, wave a flame from a lighter under it. The coat burns off, then clean with a fibre stick or similar.

Just apply your soldering iron to it.
