I acquired some 296 degree solder from Eileen's recently and some flux powder but am a little puzzled as to how the flux should be used.
Should it be used as a powder or mixed with something to produce a paste?

Re: Silver Soldering
I mix the flux with water and apply as a paste around the joint. Heat gently at first to dry out the water then apply more heat to get the metal to the required temperature. As with soft sodering, clean the metal first with emery cloth to remove the oxide layer.
