Decal Supplier - Resurrected

Postby modelmaker87 » Thu Jul 24, 2008 4:19 pm

Hi Guys,

On P4T the other day I was among the posters who contributed to the thread about decals. One of the things that I picked up from that thread was that for some, obtaining decals of certain types was no longer possible, hence the discussion about making ones own decals. I received the below email today - see below. The good thing is the fact that this company are willing to produce custom decals (transfers). I think the price is reasonable. A suggestion perhaps for what the S4 Society might invest in for its members...? Just a thought. 12 pounds for artwork for obscure railway company decals might be just the ticket for some of you. Here is a good reason to support our hobby.

Cheers, Tony

I had the pleasure of chatting with Herald King's new owners, Emma and Rick
Naylor, this week. Rick requested that I let other modelers know that they
are back in business under the Herald King name after many, many years of
inactivity (14 years, I think he said). You can view their on-line catalog
and get contact info by visiting www.heraldking.com.

Not only will they re-issue the old offerings, they will also entertain
custom-run decals in multiple scales. According to Rick, a ballpark cost
for artwork is $25-30, decal sheets will run around $12-14 each depending on
number of colors and the minimum order is 15 sheets. Very reasonable, IMO.
