Ah, the joys of modelling. All hail to the carpet god. We giveth and he takes away.

The most useful piece of equipment in my workshop is without doubt the torch on my mobile! It gets used at every modelling session as something always ends up on the floor!!

Re: The Virtual Scalefour Society Stand
Whilst I have now finished my rostered stints on the Virtual Society Stand for today don't forget that I can still be contacted as usual on memsec@scalefour.org.
I would like to extend another very warm welcome to those who, so far, have joined or re-joined the Society today.
Happy modelling.

Hello Tony - good to see you virtually on here.
I'm going to have plenty to watch over the coming days, with all that has been posted. I'm currently in the middle of David Brandreth's demonstration of resistance soldering.
Cheers
Paul

I wish someone would come up with magnetic brass.

Thanks to everyone who helped put the show together - I rate this as a great success for the society. I hope this type of event will be repeated whether or not we ever get rid of the virus.

I use so many steel screws which come with the conversions I do that I feel at a loss when a screwdriver won't pick up a brass screw!

Hi Paul
Hope you are keeping well in these continuing strange times.
I've just been watching the barge on De Graafstroom. Absolutely brilliant. I think everyone connected with virtual Scaleforum 2020 deserves a big pat on the back. It is superb, and I, for one, will be spending the next few days watching all the videos etc and catching up on all the things I've missed. I think the Scalefour Society have set a new standard here and have created something they can be justly proud of.
Cheers

And thanks to you Stuart. I haven't watched your session on Tree Modelling yet, although I certainly will be.
And as one of the tutors on Pendon's courses, there are few better to learn from.
Cheers

Back on for the last session. By now, of course, in a normal year I'd be looking forward to a beer or three in the Hop Pole...

Re: The Virtual Scalefour Society Stand
With regard to losing bits to the carpet gods, I find it useful to lay out a double sheet of newspaper (preferably broadsheet as it covers a bigger area) on the floor between myself and the workbench. Then if anything does fall on the floor hopefully it lands on the newspaper and by lifting up the edges it will fall to the fold in the middle.

Well, that's it about over: I would like to express my sincere thanks to Danny and the team for putting on such a great show
for and on behalf of us whether players or punters: The only thing missing was the personal interaction: meeting and catching up with friends old and new but regrettably that's unachievable at the moment. I'm going to go and play with Untidy Mills for a while now.....

Signing off with another thank you to Danny and all other organisers for an interesting day.
Pat yourselves on the back whilst trying to avoid spilling the beer!
Best,

Just a note to express my thanks to the organisers, fantastic idea in very difficult circumstances. Well done, thank you.
