Im afraid the escalators are static (which is not all that unprototypical!)

I have finally got around to sorting out the posters and timetables for the Lift modules though.

What does it say that the first real band that made some impact on me was Nirvana... Well that sort of dates me.... or means I really didn't take that much notice of music until I was at uni in 1993.... Still don't really....flicking through the radio channels in the car trying to find some thing worth listening too.... but usually ends up on either Queen or a live CD of the Doug Anthony allstars ...must remember to change that when the kids are in the car .... Just google DAAS to see what I mean! Though they disbanded back in the mid 90's the 3 of them are still in Melbourne and do pop up at the Comedy festivals!

My favorite CD at the moment to model too is the sound track to Spamalot! That will certainly distract from the troubles of the world!

Been busy working on the timetable boards for the B ends of the platforms



This means all the structures and pillars on this board are done. Thoughts are now turning to the ceiling and the lighting, theres more about that on my site.

Hi All

I don't tend to look at wagons that often but one little project that i've been wanting to do for a while is improving the Hornby OAA



The body is OK but the chassis is horrible plus it rides way too high (Hornby repositioned the buffers to compensate). The chassis went in the bin and new solebars added (spares from the Cambrian SPA kit), The wagon uses Bill Bedford sprung W irons and the linkages and handbrake levers are from Colin Craig.

Great work on the 45 Jim. Other than the obvious buffer beam detailing and the addition of the lifting brackets, I'm curious as to what other detailing you've done?

This model has quite a complex history having had 2 bodies, 2 chassis and 3 sets of bogies in its time. It's nearly Bach to a standard bachmann 45 although it still has the first version bachmann chassis and the original mainline battery boxes.

However most of the work has been to correct the boiler end to mirror the ETH fitted peaks. There's more on my website.

Jim,
Those little fixes do improve the look, but note that the brake rod from the bogie has to be pulled to apply the brakes, so when the rod is moved from the low position on the BR1 to the high position on the commonwealth or BR4/5 then the vac cylinder has to move as well, to the opposite side of the V hanger and cross rod. Hence your version with the Commonwealth bogie needs the vac cylinder moving.
