Lewes Station Architectural Plans

Postby goatdriver » Wed May 17, 2017 9:41 pm

I'm one of the few members in the U.S., and I'm looking for a set of architectural plans or scale drawings for the Lewes, Sussex station, which I plan to scratchbuild as the centerpiece of my layout. I've searched online with no success. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Might be some help in this topic, http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/102032-lewes-network-southeast-in-1987/#entry1982848
or you may wellfind that our own team on the Ouse viaduct/Lewes project have already been accumulating data.

There are some helpful drawings on here https://nr.mediastorehouse.com/ including the all-important plan of the overall roof and underlying building layout (assuming you are doing the current station, not the two earlier 19th century ones). For me this at least gives some yardsticks on which to extrapolate drawings for most of the rest.

Fortunately the station is little changed in 120+ years (but watch out for some of the platform canopies) and photos abound.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll be ordering a couple of prints.
