We held our second meeting on Thursday 5th December 2019.
One of our members, Bob, is building a new layout based on the S&D. Bob is a tool maker by trade and he brought along some of the jigs he has made to help in the track building he is undertaking. Bob is using ply and rivet and discussion about different track building technics revealed that some members were keen to learn and develop track building skills.
So we are going to hold a track building workshop at our next meeting which, due to the first Thursday in January being very close to the New Year festivities, will be a week later on Thursday 9th January 2020 from 19:00 in St Mary’s Community Centre, Rye.
The Group are planning to design and build a test track so we hope that this workshop will be very helpful.
