Several people at S4N asked me what I'd been up to, and I said I'd post a picture. So here it is. A motor van and some rail wagons. I hope it's big enough to see. Not up to the standard of most etched kits, but cost well under £10 each and very satisfying to make.

Ooh, nice! I especially like the motor-car van, which looks very neat. Is that a brass chassis under the van or just brass details?

Concur with Guy - any chance of close-ups of the various types Andy; they really look the business.
Best wishes,

Thanks chaps. Under frame is evergreen strip with details from mjt W irons. Will try and take close ups, but like my face they might not look so good close up!

Several people asked me at S4N about the promised close ups. Here they are, but I'm no photographer!

Andy,
The close-up photos were well worth waiting for. These are lovely models - and should have been displayed for us to enjoy at S4N! Next year, perhaps?
May I ask what technique you used for the bolt detail, which looks particularly neat? Is it tiny cubes of plastic sheet applied with a scalpel, or pieces of plastic rod inserted into pre-drilled holes?
Derek.

Thanks derek and Steve. The bolt heads are Atcher rivets. Actually quite quick to attach when you get into the swing of it. I just hope they all stay on before I paint them!
