....18.83 hands high would be about right for the horse! Where's the vernier?

The whole layout, including the proscenium arch fits in the car leaving room for driver and passenger!

Someone is following behind with a shovel and bucket
Ordsall Road (BR(E)), Forge Mill Sidings (BR(M)), Kirkcliffe Coking Plant (BR(E)), Swanage (BR (S)) and Heaby (LMS/MR). Acquired Thorneywood (GNR). Still trying to "Keep the Balance".

Re: Tim V's workbench - latest shenanigans
I have been enjoying myself by building this PECO kit of Monkton Combe station. Part of the commercial homage to the Titfield Thunderbolt anniversary, including locos, buses etc.
For me this has some personal significance, I remember walking through the site of the station in the early 60s before it was filled in for tennis courts. The building was gone but I think the platform was still there. Later, I also measured up and made a model of Limpley Stoke station, and I still have it (the squashed one on the right) - check out that date of building! The model is older than Monkton Come was before demolition, while Limpley Stoke still stands.
As for the kit, well it was a joy to put together, only criticism was the lack of detail on the reverse of the Gents screen. A few scribed lines and I was happy.

Its a long time since I saw Limpley Stoke station in the flesh, remarkable survivor - it passes in a flash viewed from the train window, so it was buit in the same style? very attractive I must say.

I rather like that vintage model of Limpley Stoke, it has a sort of 'Ruyton Road' feel about it !
