keeping busy...

Postby andrewnummelin » Sat Dec 04, 2021 12:38 pm

Having had advice on a couple of things (tender drives and resistance soldering), I thought I'd better show why I should make progress with a few things before actually starting anything new.

Just to show my speed of working, the loco centre front is now being rebuilt to P4 having been badly damaged in a house move back in 1980! It was my first attempt at scratch building a loco and was originally OO back in 1965, so not bad at 56 years old considering the prototype only lasted 34 years.

Hi Andrew.
I know the feeling. Some of my current wagon building projects are of a similar vintage.

Tony.

Looks like an EB Wilson dome
Ordsall Road (BR(E)), Forge Mill Sidings (BR(M)), Kirkcliffe Coking Plant (BR(E)), Swanage (BR (S)) and Heaby (LMS/MR). Acquired Thorneywood (GNR). Still trying to "Keep the Balance".

Indeed.
Newport, Abergavenny & Hereford Railway no. 7. There’s a bit about the model at https://www.scalefour.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=100&t=4826#p46375

Very nice.
Somewhere on file I have a photo of a Wilson works plate as attached to the dome base.
