Re: Any Wheel and size!

On some wheels yes others no, I can just add in what angle bevel I need and it is there.

The 9F wheels have a bevel.

Re: Any Wheel and size!

I have added more variables into the wheel generator, I can now add the flare of the spokes into the hub and also the shape of the spokes are also adjustable and are oval or egg shaped in section.

Re: Any Wheel and size!

I have refined my wheel creator and can now pop in most variables to produce most standard spoked wheels. The Peckett wheel I added the balance weights and adjusted the spoke profile to a more square profile in a shorter time than it took to write this post!

Re: Scaleforum 2019 - the social side

Hi Chris

Re: Scaleforum 2019 - the social side

As I live in Aylesbury, some places can be good one year then after a change of landlord are not too good while other places get better. Normally the Hop Pole is always good as is the Kings Head and the Millwrights is better than it was a few years ago. The Broad Leys, The Bell and Woolpack at Stoke...

Just a late minute update, due to unforeseen circumstances the layout Ellemere has had to withdraw, the space has been taken by Mega Point Controllers.

We have 3 P4 layouts this year including Kyle of Sutherland which I am not sure that has been exhibited before. http://www.railex.org.uk gives full details of the show, including the timetable of our free routemaster bus that departs Aylesbury railway station car park. The flashing on the chimneys was done on the laser cutter it is part of the brick paten and not separate just paint the flashing grey.

Aylesbury ran really well at the show yesterday, although we do need loads more rolling stock.

Re: Scaleforum 2017

I would if going via Oxford I would alight at Thame and Haddenham parkway and get a bus to Aylesbury from the stop outside there is one every 20-30 minutes I guess it will shave at least 45minutes off your trip as you don't need to change and wait at Princes Risborough.

Re: Scaleforum 2017

I am walking but is the bus going from the station forecourt or the car park. I think in the past it has been the forecourt but I saw somewhere it is the car park which we use at Railex.

Re: Aylesbury (Town)

I have tried the interlocking corners and you have to be very careful to get the correct offset to get a close fit. It is very easy to either have too big a gap or they are too tight fit together. Sanding them to 45 degrees is much easier and quicker. Attached is a photo of the Aylesbury Engine shed...

I am sure if you google laser cutting materials you will find suitable materials, I will ask our member who orders our materials in where he gets ours from, but he is away for as couple of weeks. The main issue is most laser cut kits I have seen cut all walls, windows and doors from one sheet rather...

Re: Aylesbury (Town)

I am not sure we use Rowmark itself but a similar material, we did get some of ours from HPC but I will find out where we get it now. Perspex can also be cut and have found a supplier who can get it at 0.2 thickness!
