Re: Scaleforum 2014 Tickets now available

There's still time to beat the queues with our on-line e-ticket sales Save time and get early entry at 10.15am on the Saturday, and 09.45am on the Sunday. This year, as in the last two, advance tickets take the form of 'e-tickets' for individuals attending Scaleforum. When you have completed your p...

I've moved the above two posts from the thread on Scalefour North's retrospective to here as they are about Scalefour News #189 and Scaleforum [DC] Vis-a-vis Doug's question: If any member travelling to Scaleforum from distant lands would like their copy of Scalefour News #189 to be withheld from th...

Re: Scalefour Southwest at Railwells 2014

There is also the issue of filling up our memory space with pictures, perhaps John could let us know if this is likely to be a problem I don't worry about that. We're not close to any limits today. Good, but we were at one point. I believe that at that time Rob had to upgrade the site. As a result ...

The Coronation has done around 100 scale miles this weekend on what passes as my ECML, without a hint of a derailment. This includes running at a reasonable speed over the curved 1300mm radius diamond shown in one of the pictures on the C&L site. Sounds wonderful Andrew, how about some video of...

Re: DC and DCC are dead - is wireless the future?

I think the title of your thread, or at least the first half of it, is wrong Ian. Wireless may well be the future, but not, I would say, for a long time yet, and DC and DCC certainly aren't dead. How many of the layouts at Railex for example utilised DC, how many DCC and how many Wireless? Do the sa...

Trevor, James has just told you the truth. The Committee has a policy and it was adhered to. No Committee member, no trader, no mate or friend can buy something before the show opens. So why do you have a serious concern? If someone writes something on RMWeb it must be true? Really? These other peop...

There were some much better loos at the front of the assembly hall: some better signage will help next time. Rodney Hall's SATNAV with the voice of "an old Hungarian woman" made the search for the show very funny, as we managed to drive right past the venue. "Why don't you listen to m...
