Re: What a Plank.....!

Ian, As Craig has said, C&L are not compatable due to the thickness of the sleepers. The C&L version use a thin sleeper thickness that is compatable with normal ply & rivet trackwork. Exactoscale use a sleeper that is twice as thick. Some people prefer this as it gives the option of mak...

Re: Calcutta sidings 2 and universal fiddle yard first test

Cheers Dave,

Long way to go yet, but we are getting closer to being confident that we can achieve one of many big P4 exhibition train sets :D

You'll have to start buying some P4 wheels for your stock :)

Cheers

Re: Calcutta sidings 2 and universal fiddle yard first test

Hi Rod & Craig, Thanks for the kind comments. Rod, I know the outside curve is 9' radius, as for the inside, I can't remember what Jim had drawn, but I suspect it's about 6' minimum. Phil's minimum radius before the layout goes down to 4'6" on his set of curves. The set of 32 crossing in th...

Re: Fiddle Yards

I've managed to squeeze in 32 B7's (based on Jim S-W's track plan) in 10 foot. These two boards will sit in the centre of the storage yard, with 21 foot either side. This goes some way to ensure that we can have 4 x nine roads available to run full length freight and passenger stock on our 3 respect...

Re: Fiddle Yards

Myself, Jim Smith-Wright, Phil Eames and Simon Stevens have been working on my "storage yard" for a few years now. I took the decision that the fiddle yard was going to be at least as important as the layout out the front, if not more. The idea being to use the storage yard for at least 3 ...

Re: Beer and Buckjumpers

Hi Flymo, Nice work! Took a few pics for you whilst taking the dog out last month. Still got several 11 sleeper panels in place at North Elmham, a siding, but still original I think. http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6665/northelmhamgerchair13th.jpg http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/6898/northelmhamgert...
