"Terry's Last Stand"
2019 Scaleforum is the last to be organized by Terry Bendall. Terry has successfully organized ten Scaleforums, firstly at Leatherhead and then at Stoke Mandeville. I hope you agree that we all owe Terry our thanks. If you would like to express your gratitude in words then a ‘Thank You’ book will be...

Re: Scaleforum 2019
I've ordered my ticket for the show. Normally I get offered a QR ticket to print. I must have missed the option to do that this year. I assume I can bring along my receipt or is there a way of accessing the QR? Hi Andy Near the top of your ticket confirmation email is a link to click to print the t...

Re: Bristol Barrow Road
Yes, but of course, P4 will never work... ;) Steve But of course we know it works so that's all that matters. I've built a fair few P4 locos for people, locos like Royal Scots and WD 2-10-0s down to little 0-4-0s and as far as I know they are still working. There will always be people who poo, poo, ...

Not the Bring & Buy at Scaleforum 2019
As you will have read in Scalefour News 213, the Society has recently been left a sizeable collection of models, tools and materials in the will of a deceased member. Much of it will be offered for sale through the Bring and Buy stand at Scaleforum 2019. There are, though, some particular items - tw...

Hi Ben
Have you considered contacting Kernow Model Rail Centre to see if they do spare parts from their LSWR Gate Stock?

Re: Professional 4mm model-maker (coaches) sought
This is a genuine request from a non-member, Colin, who is involved in a group of 4mm modellers working in various gauges (see https://www.bloodandcustard.net/). The person contacted me to ask if I knew anyone who could build coaches for them. As a result of a very friendly conversation, I suggested...

Re: Narrow Gauge Group
I’ve received an enquiry from a past member asking if there is an active 4mm Narrow Gauge Study Group within the Society.
So, if there is, or you are interested in resurrecting it, then please let me know.
Many thanks

I have been asked by Colin’s brother, Barry, to post the following message on his and Colin’s family’s behalf thanking people for their tributes to his brother. “Thank you to all those who have added their kind words. Colin's family knew that ultimately he would lose his battle, but we did not expec...

Re: Colin Parks, Scalefour member
Very sad news indeed.
My condolences to Colins family and friends.
Colin joined the Scalefour Society in 1979 and was a very active contributor on this Forum. I am sure we have all been enriched by his involvement in our hobby.
Rest in Peace.

Hi Dave, Ralph flagged this thread up to me. I've dug through the drawings I've not had chance to action yet and have found Ralph's for the track jig, so will see what I can produce with it. Hopefully I may get something done over the weekend but producing sleepers for Jeremy will have to take prio...

Re: Southern N class Mogul research
Thanks for the responses Rod and Noel.
Making more sense now.
I’ve corrected the 1954 dates, should have been 3/12/54 - 22/12/54, my typo!
According to the records I’ve found so far, this loco had Tender No. 3071 from new.

Southern N class Mogul research
Does anyone have a copy of the book published by Irwell Press entitled “The book of the SOUTHERN MOGULS, Part One: N, N1 classes” by Ian Sixsmith & Richard Derry? The works history for each loco is listed and I have obtained some details for an N class, 31405. However, the works information cont...

Having said that, the colour of daylight varies a fair bit. In summer it is much yellower than in winter. Maybe Burford basks in perpetual summer sunshine? Ah, then you may need to add some more shadows, depending on the time of day of course ;) Looking really good Martin. If you happy with the lig...

Thanks Tim, I do have that anyway, it's where I got the measurements form.
