Scaleforum 2016 Retrospective

I have just uploaded the retrospective for Scaleforum 2016 . As ever, there are hundreds of photos to enjoy, and I am thankful to the official photographers Tim Venton and Philip Hall for their work. This has taken a little longer to publish than I usually like, so thank you all for your patience. T...

Warley 2016 (Special 40th Exhibit)

I wouldn't normally put a link to the Warley Show on our homepage , but this year they are helping us celebrate our 40th Anniversary! There is a dedicated exhibition section, organised around one of their aisles. Of course, there will be lots of other things to see at the show. More information abou...

I'll add, you could email tickets@scalefour.org (that's not me), and they may see it before they next look at the forum.

Re: Scaleforum 2016 Advance Ticket Sales

Do I have to print my ticket or can I just present the QR code on my smart phone? I honestly don't know. The people who do may not see this before you need to make a decision... I've printed mine. I suspect that if you didn't, and it was important, the main consequence would be some delay while you...

Re: Scaleforum 2016 Advance Ticket Sales

I've now closed the advance ticket sales. Note that you can still print tickets that have already been purchased.

As Danny noted, tickets will be available on the door both days, £9. There is a £6 ticket for members, and you can join on the day if you want to benefit from that!

Re: Scaleforum 2016

If you fancy picking up your ticket in advance, there are two more hours before I close the sales:

http://www.scalefour.org/scaleforum/tickets

I'll flip the off switch at 11pm.

Tickets will then be available on the door.

I think all the specific details there are now a bit dated. It sounds like following up on Geraint's conversation with ChairmanJohn would be the next step.

Re: Top drawer P87 modelling.

I assume the only key criteria for entry in the guest book is contribution by non-members. I believe forum members take a fairly inclusive view about what's on-topic :-) There are a few examples of non P4 modelling turned up in a quick search outside the guest book. Guests seem to routinely comment ...

Re: Scalefour Digest 1.2 publication date?

The 2002 date at the bottom of the webpage was when I got round to transcribing it into html, which seemed a sensible editorial thing to do at the time, but it kinda doesn't make sense to me now. That certainly feels to me like an act 'of its time', and perhaps we would choose to host the document ...

I've just discovered that BBC Radio Somerset were broadcasting live from Railwells on the Saturday.

The program is on the iPlayer, and you can catch it for another 13 days:

(Btw, has the forum search facility disappeared? And can it detect attachment filenames? I'm trying to find the thread I first posted the above sketch.) Nope, top right, most forum pages (as part of the header graphic on most screens). Typing in twmin as a term popped out: http://www.scalefour.org/...

Important announcement.

Some distributors are mentioned on that thread, if you are looking to buy from the US.

Re: Scalefour Southwest at Railwells 2016

A couple of updates tonight. Chris Challis informs me that a 3mm layout is now attending, and that the book vendor has had to change. There will also be a competition running (details on the door). A couple of additional displays are also listed. All these changes are reflected on the show page . Ad...
