Re: Frame Spacers for P4 and EM

If the bosses on the back of the wheels are too long, don't you just shorten them so the wheels fit? Sorry, but it seems obvious. DaveB That’s what I typically do with Alan Gibson wheels anyway. It allows the tyre to be closer to the frame, and is pretty much essential if you are going to use some ...

Flymo, If you put ‘Mink’ or ‘Wooden’ you will find a list of articles about the 16ft wooden vans from the early 1900’s or the modern vans from the 1930’s onwards. Dave Dave, You're a star (and far more familiar with the contents of GWRJ than I am). I'd used "Mink" as a key word, thinking ...

I think that you should be very pleased with that indeed!

A lovely level of detailing, and some nice craftsmanship. I particularly like the tapering of the wooden end stanchions.

More of the same please!

GWR Journal index?

In my search for suitable period pictures to finish off a couple of GWR vanes (see question on this in the Wagons sub-forum), I started browsing through my copies of the GWR Journal for suitable articles on goods rolling stock. GWR V4 Mink van pictures?

I have a couple of Coopercraft GWR vans that I built some time ago - think decades rather than weeks. Therefore they could really do with a stripping, renovation and repaint before going back into the stock box. As you may know from my other modelling, my preferred period is around 1910. This is whe...
