Re: RAILEX 2019
Seems packed today. Difficult to get a spot to view anything at the moment. Mike and Judith Edge have some very interesting plans for the months and years ahead. Am hoping they might produce scratchbuilder etches for the Gresley V4 and Robinson 8K chassis. They have an S1 0-8-4T on display; very im...

Re: Mystery apparatus at Radstock
There does not seem to be any connection between the point rodding run that seems to be unbroken between the rodding stools either side of the outlined device. Enlarging the image shows no evidence of a cable run operating the device and connected at different points to the device providing the addi...

Exactoscale Transfer Box - 4GB 112A
I have recently acquired one of these two stage transfer boxes, but unfortunately with no instructions. Does any member have a copy of the instructions that they could scan and e-mail or post to me please. Reasonable costs will of course be covered.
Thanks, SteveT

Good to hear that actions are underway to re-introduce the Exactoscale carriage and wagon wheels and associated components. If with time the loco wheels also return to production that would be excellent.
Is there any news regarding the Exactoscale sprung chassis/underframes?

Alan,
I always find it best to write and enclose an SAE, you will then normally get an invoice sent through within a week or so for payment, please note that the items you are after will probably not be in stock as they are generally made to order.
Regards, Steve

Re: Kemilway.
Alan, Peter Dawson and Kemilway are most certainly still active, I received a couple of 4mm sets of LNER coach etches a couple of months back. Since then I received an e-mail announcing the introduction of 14 new GNR, LNER, ECJS sets of coach etches that have now been loaded to the Kemilway web site...

Re: Livingston - West Lothian Starters Group
Microscope slide slip covers are incredibly cheap on ebay, £5 or less for 100 pieces at 24x50 mm. You can also buy microscope slides with a frosted (etched) panel that are good for coach toilet windows and kitchen car windows.

Still trading in August, I had a couple of coaches from Peter then and am awaiting a couple more from the same order. I find it is best to call rather than e-mail.

It seems like the Brassmasters/Finney LNER 4mm kits will be available from September, received an e-mail today asking me to confirm which tenders I required as they are about to order the etches. Soldering Iron Plug
I am planning to purchase a new Temperature Controlled Soldering Iron in the next few weeks. I particularly like the look and more importantly specification of the Ersa RDS80 iron, it has 3 pre sets for temperature and a not too bulky iron. The unit being available from RS/Farnell etc at reasonable ...

Exactoscale Wagon Wheels - Glue to Axle
I have a batch of Exactoscale wagon wheels (inc. metal inserts) to assemble to their pin point axles. Any recommendations for the best glue to use to attach them, I am assuming superglue but which is the best manufacturers product and grade to use? Looked at the Loctite range but there seems to be a...

Re: Finally Made A Start in P4!
Chris,
Can you supply a little more detail about your tiebars. What is the diameter of tubing you are soldering to the point blades, also what material are you using for the insulated tiebar itself that is glued into these tubes.
Thanks,
