Re: Boston Frodsham

Very nice, Mike. I was particularly impressed by the water, which is at least as good as anything else I've ever seen, and the timbers round the swing bridge which were perfectly weathered. The rest of it was excellent too! DT Hello David, many thanks for the kind comments. As I mentioned in the vi...

Re: The Virtual Scalefour Society Stand

With regard to losing bits to the carpet gods, I find it useful to lay out a double sheet of newspaper (preferably broadsheet as it covers a bigger area) on the floor between myself and the workbench. Then if anything does fall on the floor hopefully it lands on the newspaper and by lifting up the e...

Boston Frodsham

I just wanted to record my thanks to Andy York of BRM/RMweb for letting me use the video of the interview with me that he recorded at the Festival of British Railway Modelling when I exhibited the layout there last February.

Re: Boston Frodsham

I really like the representation of the water in those scenes, it looks very natural. I saw the links from Jim S-W to some products, which look quite interesting, but if you could share how you achieved that convincing surface effect I would appreciate it. Many thanks. I've never modelled water bef...

Re: Boston Frodsham

For those who may be interested the layout is featured in the August edition of BRM. The digital edition is available from tomorrow and the printed version around the 16th. Apparently it is also featured on BRM TV. This may be the interview Andy York did with me when I exhibited the layout at the Fe...

Re: Boston Frodsham

Took the layout to the Salvation Army Model Railway Show (yes really) at Selby today. One interested onlooker commented that he didn't expect to see a P4 layout there. He turned out to be Steve Hall of Halifax Kings Cross fame who apparently lives just a few miles away! Good to have a quick chat wit...

Yorkshire Wolds Railway Model Railway Show

For those of you who are not familiar with the Yorkshire Wolds Railway it was set up just over ten years ago with the aim of re-opening part of the former Malton & Driffield Junction Railway. The group has its base at Fimber (across the road from the old station) and initially it is working to r...

Re: Boston Frodsham

Following the excitement and pleasure of exhibiting the layout at Scalefour North last April progress has taken a bit of a back seat over the summer months as gardening, sun bathing etc took over. However now that there is an r in the month again work has recommenced so I thought an update was due. ...

Hello Andrew.
Good to hear the news on the Exactoscale range of track products.
At the risk of getting lynched for asking this question on here, will you also be producing the 7 mm scale range of components?
