Re: Boston Frodsham

Took the layout to the Salvation Army Model Railway Show (yes really) at Selby today. One interested onlooker commented that he didn't expect to see a P4 layout there. He turned out to be Steve Hall of Halifax Kings Cross fame who apparently lives just a few miles away! Good to have a quick chat wit...

Yorkshire Wolds Railway Model Railway Show

For those of you who are not familiar with the Yorkshire Wolds Railway it was set up just over ten years ago with the aim of re-opening part of the former Malton & Driffield Junction Railway. The group has its base at Fimber (across the road from the old station) and initially it is working to r...

Re: Boston Frodsham

Following the excitement and pleasure of exhibiting the layout at Scalefour North last April progress has taken a bit of a back seat over the summer months as gardening, sun bathing etc took over. However now that there is an r in the month again work has recommenced so I thought an update was due. ...

Apologies if I've missed it but the data sheet doesn't seem to mention what scale these parts are being produced in.

Hello Andrew.
Good to hear the news on the Exactoscale range of track products.
At the risk of getting lynched for asking this question on here, will you also be producing the 7 mm scale range of components?

Mike how close did you come to actually purchase the loco from Mr Sutton? it really looks the part and from Mr Suttons locos I have seen locally they run beautifully! :thumb Very close! The only snag is that he only had 24091 available which was withdrawn in 1977 which is right at the sta...

[quote="John Palmer"] It's a bit invidious to single out any one layout for praise as there was so much good work on display, but I too was impressed by the work that's gone into Boston Frodsham so far, as I hope the attached detail shot shows. 029.JPG [quote="John Palmer"] Many ...

Well it may be three sleeps for you Steve but for those of us suffering the stress and anxiety of exhibiting at a society show for the first time with our first attempt at a P4 layout there isn't going to be much sleeping done! So in addition to the sublime of the likes of Pulborough, Clutton etc I'...

Also more rolling stock continues to be built. I'll post some up to date photos shortly but if you want to see it in the ...

Boston Model Railway Show

I'll be waving the P4 flag at the annual Boston Model Railway Exhibition this weekend (26/27th September) with my (work in progress) layout Boston Frodsham. Hello Jon - oh dear! The problems you've had with your steps make the issues I had with the 7mm variants (see my posts on page 1 of this thread) seem insignificant! it still puzzles me as to why the 4mm steps had solid sides only, whereas the 7mm ones had the holes in them. Sod's law of course that ...
