Re: C&L Flexitrack

I appreciate the discussion in all the posts. I'm leaning towards using Colin Craig's kits for the turnouts, C&L flexitrack for the straight segments and Exactoscale Fastrack as a base for the curves. Comments?

Re: C&L Flexitrack

Thanks for the info. If I understand correctly, the only way to make flat bottom turnouts is to scratchbuild them on templates. Sounds like I'll be hand laying my track.

C&L Flexitrack

I'm building my first P4 layout, and I've only previously built layouts using Hornby or Peco sectional HO track. Never having hand laid track, I'm considering using C&L flexitrack and turnout kits, at least for the initial parts of the layout. I'm modeling the modern era, so I plan to model flat...

Lewes Station Architectural Plans

I'm one of the few members in the U.S., and I'm looking for a set of architectural plans or scale drawings for the Lewes, Sussex station, which I plan to scratchbuild as the centerpiece of my layout. I've searched online with no success. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Lewes Station Trackwork

Does anyone out there know what type of rails and sleepers are used on the lines through and in the immediate vicinity of Lewes Station? I'm in the US, so it's a bit difficult to gather the information first hand. Thanks in advance.

Re: Conversion wheels for Hornby 2-HAL

Thanks. I'll try D&E/DC tomorrow. I tried ordering online, but the order wouldn't go through. There are no suppliers for P4 wheels (or anything else P4-specific) in the US.

Re: Conversion wheels for Hornby 2-HAL

I found a couple of articles on converting the 2-BIL: http://extra.southernelectric.org.uk/modelling/reviews/mod4rev-hornby-2bil-2.html http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/82914-converting-hornbys-emu-motor-bogie-to-p4/ Neither mentions exactly which wheels to use, although the second ...

Conversion wheels for Hornby 2-HAL

Greetings all. I'm very new to P4 and need some advice. I have a Hornby 2-HAL set and need help on a source and what type of conversion wheels to order (also any other parts I might need). Thanks from a member in the US.
