Re: Instructions for M Mitchell/David Geen 45/55xx kit
John, The diagrams you've attached appear to be for 7mm scale. I guess the part numbers differ between the two scales. I'll send scans of my diagrams. I don't appear to have another diagram for the brakegear. Unfortunately MM has used the same part numbers on the chassis and superstructure ! Mark

Re: Instructions for M Mitchell/David Geen 45/55xx kit
John, I have a kit for a Mitchell Design 4575/55XX class, bought on ebay and unfortunately not quite complete. There is a set of A5 instructions, with pages numbered 2 to 20, that appear to be an nth generation photocopy. However I'm not sure they are the correct set as the diagrams and prototype no...

Re: Brassmasters Axle Setting Jig
Since you are using Bill Bedford w-iron units, another option is to use a Palatine Models Wagon Baseplate, available from the S4 Stores. Re: wagon building progress.
I can confirm that Hubert Carr is in the process of developing an etched Great Western tarpaulin bar bracket. Justin Newett (Rumney Models) makes a tarpaulin bar bracket for LMS/BR corrugated end wagons (B.92), so at Scaleforum last year I asked him if he had any plans to produce a GWR version. He s...

Re: Railwells 2017
Just a quick note re parking for this year's Railwells / Scalefour Southwest. The exhibition guide contained in Scalefour News 203 says that there will be free parking again this year. According to the Railwells website there is a car boot sale on Saturday and the parking will be £3 all day. However...

Re: Chagford exhibition layout
Martin, This layout may have been built by my friend Brian Lewis, owner of Timbertracks and a few years ago C&L. Brian is of course a member of the society, but does not have a logon to the S4 forum, so I'm responding on his behalf. Brian's layout was 20 feet long and (unusually) had a fiddle ya...
