Re: Film of a transformer wagon

A fascinating film. Very good quality. I also noticed the different health and safety standards. I spent another enjoyable hour or so watching other BTF films. I found myself wondering what market this type of film was aimed at. Were they "shorts" to be shown at the cinema? Cheers, John.

Re: Scaleforum 2014

Hello All,

just to add my thanks to all who worked so hard to make this happen.

I got off the red eye at Heathrow, rented a car, 1st stop Scaleforum. I had some great conversations, spent too much money and enjoyed seeing all those fantastic models.

I am now re-inspired!

Best,

John.

I'm modelling the early TOPS period, so pre/post TOPS would be ok. BTW, this is my first brass kit, and I have to say I'm thoroughly enjoying the build. It is goin...

Re: Trackwork options for newbie

Hi Ade, I'm a newcomer myself. I decided to go with the exactoscale kits for my test track and I think that was the right decision for me. They didn't take too long to build and I got the satisfaction and positive feedback from having that early success. That helped to keep my enthusiasm up. Also, b...

Re: Scalefour Workbench - a demo becomes reality (P4 Hornby

Well, after reading this thread I was able to convert my own Hornby 08 with a set of Ultrascales and very little fuss. I now have two P4 locos, a Hymek being my first conversion. Both trundle over my small test plank quite happily. A small step, but as a P4 newcomer I found it very satisfying. This ...

Absolutely superb! Inspirational stuff. From memory, the only thing missing now is the grime :D
