Re: RSU's and computers.

I know very little about it but it sounds like electromagnetic interference (EMI). I had a similar problem with a transformer (not an RSU) affecting a TV. I was able to get the owner of the transformer to move it which sorted it out. Might be worth Googling ways of reducing EMI.

Re: Methfix transfers

I am very new to this but from the method Andy suggests it sounds very like the method I have just watched on this YouTube video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ne0fBH6zNkQ - the section 27:55 in. The only difference seems to be the meths mix instead of the liquid shown.

Re: Peter Kay, Teignmouth - Specialist Railway Publications

He would seem to be the current editor of the London Railway Record and his email address is peter.kay@Londonrailwayrecord.co.uk. Assuming this is the same Peter Kay might be worth emailing him there.

Re: Which gauges for track construction?

I must admit that being a complete newbie, with no prototype, modelling or engineering experience of any kind, this thread just makes me wonder what on earth I am doing! However, with patience and the wide knowledge available here I am sure that one day I will have a working model. The layout may ta...

Re: Knuckles's Turnout Construction Log

Sounds right, ordered my Pannier conversion kit from Ultrascale on 14 April and was told 12 weeks which is also what it says on the website. At least I should have some track to test it on by the middle of July! :)

Re: Knuckles's Turnout Construction Log

:D Know exactly what you mean Knuckles! I have bought several brass kits recently thinking I know what they are going to be used for and when they arrive I either realise that I need something else to go with them or something completely different. Made sense when I ordered them! Really must spend s...

Wheelsets

I am going to try several methods of converting some wagons I have to P4 to see which works best for me. As part of this I obviously need some wheels, so was going to order some Alan Gibson wheelsets through the S4 stores. Thing is, they are shown as being priced in packets. Not having bought any be...

Re: Bachmann Pannier 8750 conversion

Many thanks for the replies chaps, and Ultrascale have also come back after doing some research. They also said that if the model matched that service sheet that they would fit. As the sheet that came in the box was indeed that one I shall be ordering the kit this evening. Just have to wait for them...

Bachmann Pannier 8750 conversion

I'm looking to convert a Bachmann Pannier 8750 to P4 (first conversion and now need to build some test track for it). I've read an article on the Ultrascale site where someone has used their conversion kit and made it look relatively easy, so thought I would go the same way. The model number of the ...
