The South London Area Group (SLAG) has a current membership of 11 and about 8 or so of us regularly meet in Leatherhead every Monday evening (except Bank Holidays).
We have started building a new layout that harks back to our South London roots to wallow in the distinctly unhealthy atmosphere of inner London in the early 1950’s. This new layout, ‘Bankside, Austerity in 1951’, is progressing slowly and this is a great time to get involved.
We normally keep our exhibition layout, St Merryn, erected for running and training purposes (for which we bring along our stock) and to continue adding detail as the urge takes us.
We have a 'test track' to provide Group members with a facility to test their stock over various formations containing A5, A6 and B7 crossovers. Both DC and DCC are catered for.
Group members have a wide range of prototype interests.
The Group is informal but keen to pursue and facilitate active modelling rather than solely acting as a social group, though there is much of that too.
Society members are always welcome for a chat or to participate in group activities, but please contact Steve Carter first in order to understand the access arrangements.
Anyone who needs directions can also contact Steve by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or using the details on the Blue Sheet.
