Specially
produced for the stores these parts allow the modeller to assemble two
and three section split axles without the need for any lathe work.
To assemble a 'type 1'
axle, with insulation between the two wheels use one part A and one
part B as shown in parts and assembled below.Axle components are sold individually in three varieties:
A: Female half axle B: Male half axle C: Double male for centre section. To assemble a 'type 2' axle with double insulation to allow fitting of a drive gear or gearbox insulated from both wheels use one part C and two parts A. The axles will need to be cut to length after assembly, finished axle diameter is 1/8th inch. |
