Scaleforum 2009 - Spital - Cleveland MRS
Spital is a fictitious location carefully based upon the Stainmore Line over the Northern Pennines.
All stock running has been researched and, with only a few very minor deviations (or artistic licence!), is representative of that running in the area during the period modelled of circa 1910.
The Stainmore Route at this time conveyed huge amounts of coke to the iron and steel industries in West Cumberland, and full and
empty workings are well represented in the time table.
It is hoped that you will take time to absorb the atmosphere of the bleak Pennine landscape and appreciate the careful attention to detail in the representative trains being run.
