| LOCO100 | Caledonian
Railway Single No. 123 Built by Nielson & Co. of Glasgow for the 1886 Edinburgh International Exhibition, this unique locomotive was subsequently purchased by the Caledonian Railway. The locomotive featured 7ft. dia. driving wheels, with a sanding system powered from the Westinghouse compressed air brake reservoir. No. 123 was reboilered in 1905 and again in 1924 by the LMS who renumbered her 14010. The original tender was built for the exhibition but replaced by a standard Caledonian design in service and which featured a large toolbox on the rear bufferbeam. This kit features etched nickel silver for the body and the chassis for both the locomotive and tender. The tender chassis is designed for compensated or sprung assembly. It can be easily adapted to place some of its weight onto the dragbeam of the loco for increased adhesion. Detail components are in whitemetal, with lost wax brass castings for all the smaller items and turned, sprung buffers. The kit is supplied with boiler and fittings to produce the model in pre-1924 condition and includes the tender. |

| LOCO110 | North
British Railway R CLASS 4-4-0T Built between 1880 and 1884, the elegant "R" Class 4-4-0T's were Drummond's last design for the NBR. They were long lived, the last being scrapped by the LNER in 1933. They undertook various duties, hauling suburban passenger, and main-line stopping and branchline trains. They were not significantly altered over their lives but received the usual minor alterations. Originally the Drummond safety valves were on the dome, later replaced by the Holmes type. Coal rails were added, as was a second whistle and smokebox mounted displacement lubricators. The boiler-mounted clack valves were removed when the locos were reboilered between 1908 and 1911. The kit has the body components etched in brass, with the chassis etched in nickel silver. Cast and turned brass and cast whitemetal fittings are supplied. |

| LOCO111 | North
British Railway R CLASS 0-6-0T Drummond's first design for the NBR in 1875 was the small 0-6-0T "R" Class. A total of 25 were built, and all but one lasted into the LNER period although they had all been scrapped by 1926. Like the 4-4-0Ts they were designed for suburban and branchline passenger work and were equipped with Westinghouse brakes after 1881. The later 4-4-0Ts were very similar and the 0-6-0Ts received many of the same minor modifications through their lives. The kit has the body components etched in brass, with the chassis etched in nickel silver. Cast and turned brass and cast whitemetal fittings are supplied. |

| LOCO120 | GER E22 -LNER J65 The G. E. R. built twenty of the E22 class between 1889 and 1893. They all lasted into L.N.E.R. ownership, while five survived into B.R. hands, the last one being scrapped in 1956. The later batch had lower side tanks, this being the only apparent difference. Eight were fitted with vacuum brakes after the grouping and some were fitted with high cab roofs incorporating a sliding ventilation hatch. Other changes included the replacement of Ramsbottom safety valves with the Ross Pop variety and steam heating pipes and train vacuum pipes. The kit has the body components etched in brass, with the chassis etched in nickel silver. Cast and turned brass and cast whitemetal fittings are supplied. The instructions contain comprehensive details of the various modifications to the prototypes through their existence, with detail sketch to enable the modeller to build the loco of his choice. |

| LOCO121 | G.E.R. C72/ L.N.E.R. J68 The G.E.R. C72 class 0-6-0T was built as condensing passenger locomotives, equipped with Hill parallel chimneys and Ramsbottom safety valves. They had a high arc profile wooden roof, three coal rails on the bunker and were fitted with Westinghouse brakes. Some were converted in late G.E.R. days to a elliptical roof profile and were fitted with taper chimneys and Ross pop safety valves. The L.N.E.R. fitted steel cab roofs, six coal rails, group standard buffers and on some locomotives, mechanical lubricators mounted on the front footplate. Some had the condensing apparatus removed and were reclassified as G75 shunting engines. |

| LOCO122 | G.E.R. S56/ L.N.E.R. J69/1 Another long lasting G.E.R. 0-6-0T design, the S56 class became L.N.E.R. J69/1 and in B.R. hands lasted almost to the end of the steam era. The last were scrapped in 1962, with no 68619 spending it's last few years in fully lined G.E.R. livery. As built they were condenser equipped with high side tanks, Ramsbottom safety valves and Westinghouse braking systems for passenger working Originally fitted with stovepipe chimneys, these were replaced by lipped versions in 1930. The condensing apparatus was variously removed between 1923 and 1936, although it was refitted to two locos. As built the cab roofs were a shallow arc profile but the L.N.E.R. fitted higher elliptical steel roofs and increased the number of coal rails from three to six. The kit has the body components etched in brass, with the chassis etched in nickel silver. The loco fittings are a mixture of lost wax cast brass for the finer components, with high quality cast whitemetal for the larger, simpler, fittings. The instructions contain comprehensive details of the various modifications to the prototypes through their existence, with detail sketch to enable the modeller to build the loco of his choice. |

| LOCO130 | N.S.R./L.M.S. Class
B 2-4-0T The North Staffordshire Railway built twenty one Class B 2-4-0 tank locomotives at their Stoke Works and followed on immediately after the Class "A" 2-4-0 tanks. They were used on suburban passenger workings, mainly out of Stoke on Trent. Production started in 1881 and was completed by 1895. They were rebuilt between 1897 and 1906, when a slightly larger boiler was fitted. At the same time those which had the early narrow cab were fitted with the more modern, wider version. They lasted well into LMS ownership, the last was withdrawn in 1935. The body is etched in brass, with a n/s etched chassis and produces the Class B in this rebuilt form. The loco fittings are a mixture of lost wax cast brass for the finer components, with high quality cast whitemetal for the larger, simpler, fittings. The detailed instructions included numbering and livery details. |

| LOCO131 | N.S.R./L.M.S. Class B Rebuild 2-4-2T In 1900-1901, three B Class locos were converted to 2-4-2T configuration, by adding a radial trailing axle. This provided a larger bunker, to enable them to operate over a wider area. These three locomotives were equipped with the larger boiler when rebuilt. Outwardly they too were similar to the rebuilt Class "A" 2-4-2Ts. The body is etched in brass, with a n/s etched chassis. The loco fittings are a mixture of lost wax cast brass for the finer components, with high quality cast whitemetal for the larger, simpler, fittings. The detailed instructions included numbering and livery details. |

| LOCO132 | N.S.R./L.M.S. Class D 0-6-0T Forty nine Class D 0-6-0 tank locomotives were built by the NSR, between 1883 and 1889 at the Stoke Works. They were the most numerous locomotive class of the NSR., originally designed for goods train working and shunting. However, they were found to be adaptable locomotives and were subsequently used for passenger services, after the fitting of vacuum brakes. As built they had narrow cabs without side panels. They were rebuilt from 1900 with a larger boiler and bunker coal rails. Over a period of time they acquired wider cabs with curved side sheets. The kit has been designed to model the locomotive in its later guise. They outlived the Class B tanks by a few years. The last was withdrawn in 1937. Each of the NSR locomotive kits has an etched brass body, with an etched nickel silver chassis. The loco fittings are a mixture of lost wax cast brass for the finer components, with high quality cast whitemetal for the larger, simpler, fittings. |
