THE SCALEFOUR SOCIETY 18.83 LAYOUT CHALLENGE

THREE BRIDGES by Michael J Davey

Three Bridges (this is the english translation of the Welsh)  -The Welsh name will be used when I know what it is, possibly -Tri Pontio -

 Scale: 4mm to 1ft,  Standard Gauge: 18.83mm

This is a fictitious station, on what is meant to be a single track section of the Mid Wales line. Generally set in the early 1900s, but more modem locos and rolling stock may occasionally be seen. The station is of the low platform type. More of a halt in type.

Only local passenger and local goods will call at the station and yard, plus freight for the works. All other passenger and Freight will be through workings. Generally locos/trains from the GWR, LNWR & Midland railways will be seen.

It is intended to use the cassette method of Fiddle yards operation / storage of rolling stock if this is permitted. Control is by 'Pentroller'. As there is generally a one engine in steam policy very few section switches will be required if any. Points will be operated by the wire in tube method.
