The Platelayers Society and the British Railway Modellers of North America hosted a symposium in Brampton, Ontario yesterday. About 80 members showed up in person, and several talks were available to an online audience.
Dave Knight was flying the P4 banner with his cameo layout “Nemo Engineering”. Close to our stand was a wonderful display of 7mm (mostly) narrow gauge models from the “Crowsnest Tramway”. This display included some great painting by Martin Welsh and Ian Rathbone.

Is this an annual event? It would be a bit of a drive from Massachusetts, but possible with planning.

Symposium is a one day event held on alternate years from the Great British Train Show which is also hosted by the Platelayers. GBTS is held over a weekend and has more to offer in the way of layouts and vendors but Symposium has more presentations as it is aimed at railway modellers rather than the general public.
